Paula –         The net and service providers are not different than any other good and/or service that you can purchase.  If the service offered does not meet your needs, find someone who does it better. It’s your choice.  If you have a car that has no airconditioning, don’t complain to me how hot it is in the middle of the summer.  There are many, many other internet service providers that offer better packages, more options(newsreaders with killfile), and are cheaper to boot.  I suggest you look into one of these providers or send a request to the aol folks requesting that they install a killfile/ scorefile option on their newsreader. Until then, "pit bulls" are dogs, this is a dog related newsgroup and they will continue to be discussed. Regards, MAC

Lynne,      All you have to do is ignore a post that doesn’t have a title you are interested in. If others are seeking behavior advice, they can post and their questions will still be answered. By the way dog training help is always more effective in person than online. 80% of these questions are asked by those that really need to se a live trainer.     This is an important matter and concerns all who are participating. If it was trivial like eating cat poop,or peeing on the rug, you would not see such a response. Bob Maida

It is not a matter of having to let somebody have the last word..I personally am here to educate..and hopefully somebody reading a thread may realize that not all pits, rotts, etc are what the media would like them sound to be… Example I saw a movie the other night about a psycho dog..Man’s Best Friend, and what kind of dog do you think it resembled?  A Rott of course…this is not just about pits and rotts but about every single case of breed discrimination..a matter that is very important.

Ok, folks– all you who not too long ago recommended a killfile for those not wanting to  read the pitbull debate— AOL has no such thing. It does, however, give me the option of downloading messages so I may read off-line, which generally saves a lot of time/money. However, now that about 1/3 of all new messages are re:pitbullblah blah blah… well, money saved is questionable. No, it’s not your problem, & I don’t expect my mentioning it to change things. I do wonder when it all will end; I take a look every once in a while (in the beginning followed every message) & it seems most messages are either repetitions (said before) or personal attacks. Has either side conceded anything? To me it makes as much sense as arguing politics, or religion, which I learned a long time ago is fruitless & not a little frustrating. Sure, it’s an important issue, but just because no one can stand to let the other guy have the last word doesn’t mean anything is being accomplished.

Is this the behavior conference or the Pit Bull Conference? Folks this conference is not breed specific and there are many other folks interested in solving behavior problems other than those of the pit bull.   We have waited patiently but you have taken advantage of our good nature. Let’s get back to the training to some of the other dogs in the world.                                                         Please!                                                         lynne niemiec

This is neither.  This is not a "conference", it is a newsgroup. Please see news.newusers, news.newusers.questions, news.newusers.answers, and alt.newbie. >Folks this conference is not breed specific and there are many other folks >interested in solving behavior problems other than those of the pit bull.

There are plenty of folks doing just that.  If you want to join them, do so…If you want to start your own thread, go ahead.  If you don’t want to join the pitbull thread, ignore it or killfile it. >We have waited patiently but you have taken advantage of our good nature.

Spare me.  No one is taking advantage of anyone else. >Let’s get back to the training to some of the other dogs in the world.

Feel free, knock yourself out, go for it!  But, don’t tell me what I can and can’t talk about. >                                                    Please! >                                                    lynne niemiec
